Who We Are What We Do Get Involved

Hospitality

Patchwork Central extends many types of hospitality to members of the Evansville community. Our building and main office are open Monday-Thursday for referrals to other agencies, a shower, a cup of coffee, a cool place to rest in the summer, the use of a phone, bread or fresh produce from the food pantry, or any number of small services. Sometimes this hospitality is simply having a staff member able to lend a respectful listening ear to hear our neighbors’ frustrations, anger, or celebrations. From September 2011 through October 2012, we logged approximately 3400 instances of this type of hospitality.

Patchwork also offers the use of its main building, called The Meetinghouse, as well as the Teaching Studio and house at 116, to several other organizations and groups that share in our commitment to diversity, art, human well-being, and service to the disadvantaged.

The welcoming Patchwork building and grounds serve as a focal point and home for many neighborhood activities including:

River City Food Co-op

Matthew 25 AIDS Clinic (Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
Narcotics Anonymous (Wednesday Evenings, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.)

If you or your group is interested in using the Meetinghouse, call the office at 424-273.
