 Food Pantry The Patchwork Central Emergency Food pantry has been in operation for over 20 years. The Patchwork Office Manager oversees the day-to-day coordination of the pantry and twenty-three volunteers. The Food Pantry is a member of the Evansville Area Community of Churches Food Pantry Consortium. Clients are eligible to obtain food from the pantry every 30 days by obtaining a referral from one of several referral agencies in the city. United Way First Call for Help coordinates this system. Food for the pantry is ordered weekly through the Evansville Area Community of Churches and the Tri-State Food Bank. Donations of food and non-food items are received on a regular basis from area churches and private individuals. In 2005, the Patchwork food Pantry served over 1700 individuals. Donations and volunteers are always needed. Please contact the office to donate or sign up to volunteer. The Food Pantry is open Monday - Thursday, 9:30 am - 11:45 am. Closed on Holidays. |
